In the wedding industry, vendors sometimes come together to have a “styled shoot” where we stage a wedding and allow our creative juices to flow. I generally only do one or two a year, since they are a lot of work, but this shoot was absolutely one of my favorites! The couple we used as models never had a big wedding since they eloped, so we were ecstatic to get them some professional wedding photos. Before we began shooting, we all sat together and had a family-style meal – a first for styled shoots I’ve done. It was so much fun! Vendors typically don’t get a ton of time to sit and enjoy one another on a wedding day, so this was a nice element to the day. After dinner, we got our models dressed and I shot detail shots of the cake and invitation suite. Then we headed out on a golf cart to traipse around this gorgeous property – how stunning is that water view?? We absolutely love it at Restoration and hope to be back to shoot a real wedding soon!
